I started my teaching career in New York City where I was an English teacher for 15 years.   In September 1999, I began the second phase of my career in Newark Public Schools as an English teacher, English Department Chair, and a Vice-Principal.  In Newark Public Schools, I served on various district-level committees to evaluate and revamp teacher evaluation tools, evaluate various observation software programs and select one for the district (Whetstone) and, recently, to revise job descriptions for department chairs and vice-principals.  In my spare time, I love spending quality time with my two adult children and friends.  Also, I love participating in various community service initiatives such as March of Dimes, St. Jude, Breast Cancer Awareness, Operation Big Bookbag (a school supply distribution initiative), and toy drives.  

As I start the third phase of my career at Allen High School, I look forward to working collaboratively with the staff to ensure that all students have the necessary tools to be successful in college and/or their chosen career.
