The next Best Buddies will be on Tuesday, January 28th, in the auditorium, during 4th period. We haven't been able to gather since October, so we're looking forward to seeing everyone, first to have our yearbook picture taken and then to play some trivia! We'll also be finalizing our list of buddies for Special Olympics in May! See you on Tuesday, the 28th, during 4th period!

Sorry for the confusion. The previously announced color days for February 4th and February 7th have been rescheduled. Canaries for Life will support SGA in their winter spirit week during February 3rd through February 7th. New dates will be announced soon.

Looking for a night of entertainment? Join us on Thursday, January 30th in the auditorium at 7:00 pm. to watch our senior contestants as they compete for the crown at the Mr. Allen 2020 competition. Tickets $2.00.

Senior meetings will be held Thursday January 30th. Seniors will attend with their English classes. If you are a senior without an English class, please come to the 12th grade attendance office for a pass to attend the meeting. Cap and gown information will be distributed at this meeting.

SENIORS if you have a debt please clear it in the Main Office. If you DON’T pay your debt, you will not receive your DIPLOMA at graduation.

SENIORS -- The yearbook is now accepting pre-orders for the 2020 edition of the yearbook. The total cost of the yearbook is $63.60. If you would like to order a copy of the yearbook, please bring a $5.00 deposit to Room 4-204 by Friday, January 31. You will need to pay off your yearbook before it is distributed in May. If you have any questions about ordering a yearbook, please see Mr. Iles in Room 4-204.

Seniors - Just a reminder that Senior Class T-shirts are on sale in Room 4-204. We have two shades of blue available, in all sizes, Small through Extra Large. Proceeds from the t-shirt sale benefit your class. The shirts are $15 each or 2 for $25.

On January 30th there is a GEAR UP field trip to Triangle Technical Institute from 10:00 AM to 1 PM. See Ms. Gallagher in the College & Career Center for a permission slip if you are interested in seeing the Triangle Tech campus in Bethlehem.

This is a reminder for seniors taking the Kutztown DE Intro to Social Work course. The course will be starting on Tuesday January 21st during 7th and 8th period and will be held in room 1-102.

• Gay Straight Alliance meets every Tuesday in room 1-303 after school. All are welcome!
• Anti-Bullying Club meets every Monday at 2:50pm in room 3-205 All are welcome!
• K-POP meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:50-4:30 in room 8-303.
• STAGE CREW is meeting after school daily in the Scene Shop. Lots to do right now!
• Latino Leadership meets every Tuesday after school in Room 8-121.
• Baking Club meets every Monday at 2:50 in room 1-221
• International club will meet Wednesdays (except the 1st one of the months) at 2:50 in room 1-209
• Students Against Destructive Decisions club meets every Monday after school in the main cafeteria.

• Rotary club scholarship applications are due to Mrs. Duggan in the career center by Feb. 1st. Late applications will not be accepted. Please turn your completed application in as soon as possible.

• There will be a field trip to Cedar Crest College on March 26th. Permission slips can be picked up in the career center and must be returned by Feb. 3rd. There are 30 spots available and all 11th and 12th graders are welcome to come.

• Seniors check out the most updated scholarship listing in the career center. It is updated frequently.

Rotary Club scholarship applications are available now. This scholarship is worth $12,000.

• Seniors should also be sure they do their financial aid paperwork for college before it’s too late.

May 1st is the deadline to commit to a college for next year and also the deadline for a state grant.

Allen SGA and PCN Student Section are sponsoring a Fan Bus for the boys’ basketball game versus Liberty on Tuesday, January 21 and the game versus Freedom on Tuesday January 28. There is no cost for the bus, but you must pre-pay for your ticket to the game. Game admission is $3 per game with your student ID. Permission form can be picked up in the Athletic Office and must be returned by NOON the day each game. Grab your permission slips TODAY!

There will be a 2020 Allen Spring Athletics Information Meeting held on Thursday, January 23rd at 1:55p in the 11th Grade Cafeteria (Main Cafeteria, across from Athletic Office). Any student athletes wishing to participate and tryout for Baseball, Softball, Boys Volleyball, Boys Tennis, and Track and Field should attend this meeting. Each respective coach will provide information for 2020 Sport Specific IM Schedules, Tryouts, Practice Schedules, and ASD/St. Luke’s FREE PIAA Spring Physical Information.
