Order Your Yearbook

In order to reserve a copy of the 2021 edition of William Allen High School's Yearbook, Comus, students must visit the Jostens Yearbook site.  The yearbook cost is $63.60, and payment may  be made using a debit card or a credit card.  We are unable to accept cash or check payments at this time.  

The yearbooks will be distributed at the end of the school year.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Iles at ilesp@allentownsd.org.

DEVICE PICKUP! 

It is our goal to provide a 1 to 1 device, so that each student receives their own ASD loaner device and one hotspot per family to stay educationally engaged.

The pickup location will be at the main entrance on 17th street from 8am to 3pm on scheduled school days. A parent or guardian listed in sapphire, with ID is required to borrow the device. Students entering 9th grade must return devices to their middle school before coming to Allen.

January GRAB & GO MEAL SCHEDULE  

Even as students learn remotely, the Allentown School District continues to offer meals for students and families! 

January Schedule 
Monday, January 4; Wednesday, January 6; Friday, January 8
Monday, January 11; Wednesday, January 13; Friday, January 15
Wednesday, January 20; Friday, January 22
Wednesday, January 27; Friday, January 29


Allen HS will be open from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM. 
Central, Sheridan, Ramos, and South Mountain MS will be open from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

In January, students will be given 2 meals each day and 3 meals on Fridays for the weekend. 

You do not need to come to your regular school building to receive your meal. Instead, feel free to walk, drive, or bike to the closest school to your home.  Meals are available to any child under the age of 18. No ID is needed and students do not need to be present to receive meals. 

NEW: BUS ROUTE INFORMATION
Bus delivery routes will begin Wednesday, December 2. Three delivery routes will visit sites on the South East, South West, and North East side of the city. Click here for delivery locations and times.

SENIOR PICTURES

Christmas City Studio will return to the Ninth Grade Cafeteria during the evening hours on Tuesday, January 19 and Wednesday, January 20, to take senior portraits. The Seniors (or their parent/guardian) must call Christmas City Studio's Customer Service Department at 610-691-2109 or   888-962-7289 to make an appointment for a senior portrait session.


Please note that Senior Portraits taken at WAHS or at Christmas City Studio's facility in Bethlehem during the Summer of 2020 through the month of January, 2021, will definitely appear in the 2021 edition of the Comus, William Allen High School.


Finally, please be advised the Christmas City Studio has advised us that if the appointments fill up on January 19 and 20, they will open up appointments on January 21. They will notify us if they need to use January 21.


This will be the last and final opportunity for seniors to get their senior portraits taken. Due to the school's contract with Christmas City Studio, they MUST have their senior portrait taken by Christmas City Studio if they want their senior portrait to appear in the yearbook. We cannot accept portraits from other photographers.

William Allen High School has a College & Career Center Google Classroom for seniors. The class code nhvmckd. Students were invited to the College & Career Center for Allen Seniors via their school email (Student ID #@allentownsd.org). Mrs. Duggan is providing college & career guidance and will answer student specific questions about college applications and financial aid. Check the Google Classroom often for important information. 


 

William Allen High School is one of 3 high schools located in the city of Allentown. 
The richness of The Allentown School District's diversity is strengthened by its central role in educating our students for America's future through academic excellence and celebrating the culturally responsive, athletic and artistic range of talent in the schools. ASD students originate from 51 countries and speak 26 languages. There are twenty-five academic buildings throughout the City. 

During the 2016-2017 school year, the district enrolled 16,628 students across 15 Elementary & Early Childhood Centers (7,976), 4 Middle Schools (3,421) and 3 High Schools (5,231).  The Allentown School District has 2,429 personnel.

89.1% of our families are denoted as Low Income, and 100% receive Free/Reduced Lunch.  ASD is the third largest urban school system out of 500 Districts in the Commonwealth and serves a community with a poverty rate of 38.64% of the City's population. (2013 Census).
