  • In order to receive federal grants, student loans or school-specific scholarships, you must complete the FAFSA form online at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa by May 1st of your senior year. Certain school-specific scholarships may have an earlier deadline, so it’s best to complete this form as early as possible, BUT NOT BEFORE OCTOBER 1ST OF YOUR SENIOR YEAR.
  • At the end of the FAFSA form it should give you a link to continue on to your state level grant form. If it does not, you will need to wait until you receive an email saying your FAFSA has been processed. Then you can complete the state grant form online at https://www.pheaa.org/. You will need to create an account then fill out your state grant form.
  • Some schools also require the CSS Profile https://cssprofile.collegeboard.org/.  Be sure to check with the individual schools first to see if this or any additional paperwork is needed. It should be listed on their website.
  • You can contact Mrs. Duggan in the College and Career Center with any questions at [email protected] or through the College & Career Center GOOGLE CLASSROOM.
  • THE PARENT AND THE STUDENT MUST CREATE THEIR FAFSA ID’S ONLINE AT https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm  PRIOR TO COMPLETING YOUR FAFSA BECAUSE IT MAY TAKE UP TO 3 DAYS TO REGISTER IN THE SYSTEM. You both will need separate FSA ID’s.  Make sure you use your FULL name as it is written on your Social Security card.  You will also need separate email addresses to complete this process. You must create an email address ahead of time if you don’t already have one.
  • The student must complete their part first and invite the parent, before the parent is able to complete their section.
  • If you have any issues, contact FAFSA Help at 1-800-557-7394 or visit The Parent's Guide to Filling out the FAFSA at https://blog.ed.gov/2019/10/parents-fafsa-guide/.
