William Allen High School has once again partnered with Generosity Feeds, to combat hunger in the city of Allentown. In 4 short hours on the morning of June 1, the school, through a partnership with Riverbend Community Church expects to package 10,000 meals with the help of 300 volunteers from the school and throughout the community.

Meals will be distributed directly to food banks in the Lehigh Valley as well as directly to ASD schools with food banks. This event unites schools, businesses, and non-profits as well 300+ volunteers in one day to assemble and package meals.  Food is assembled into single-serving-sized packages, heat-sealed, and boxed for distribution.  Generosity Feeds’ food-packs are all-natural with no preservatives and provide nutritious and delicious meals to children outside of school hours.

In past years, this event was held in the cafeteria, but this year has been moved to the J Milo Sewards Gymnasium to accommodate more volunteers. The school also anticipates high participation from WAHS athletic teams, clubs and service organizations.

While the event is hosted at William Allen HS, anyone is invited to volunteer! For more information and to register go to https://generosityfeeds.org/events/generosity-feeds-allentown-pa/
